North Gyeongsang education office to hire 291 teachers for 2027 school year

The North Gyeongsang Province Office of Education said Wednesday it will hire 291 kindergarten, elementary school and special education teachers for the 2027 school year.

The hiring plan calls for 51 kindergarten teachers, 192 elementary school teachers (including 10 under regional quotas), six special education kindergarten teachers and 38 special education elementary school teachers.

The total is down 82 from the 369 teachers hired last year.

The office will also hire four teachers for private schools on behalf of two school foundations, comprising two elementary school teachers and two special education elementary school teachers.

Applications will be accepted online through the teaching staff recruitment system over five days, from Sept. 28 to Oct. 2.
