Namdong-gu submits W93.4b supplementary budget, boosting total spending to W1.38tr

Namdong-gu in Incheon has drawn up a first supplementary budget for 2026 worth 93.4 billion won ($69.8 million).

The district said Thursday it submitted the supplementary budget bill to the Namdong-gu Council, bringing total spending to 1.38 trillion won -- about 7.3 percent more than the original budget of 1.28 trillion won.

To revitalize the old town center and improve lifestyle infrastructure, the district allocated 4.4 billion won for a new village project in Ganseok 3-dong and 4 billion won for an urban regeneration project in Namchon-dong.

It will also spend 2.5 billion won on repairing aging and substandard sewage pipes to prevent damage and upgrade outdated facilities.

Other allocations include 600 million won for creating a school route along the road south of Yaksan Elementary School, 600 million won for renovating the Namdong National Sports Center, and 300 million won for improving the environment at Adam Children's Park.

The supplementary budget bill will undergo review during the first regular session of the 312th Namdong-gu Council before final approval, expected Wednesday.
