Park Ji-won: 'jail for Han Dong-hoon' vs Han: 'Democratic Party oppas belong there first'

Rep. Park Ji-won of the Democratic Party of Korea said independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon should be sent to jail. Han has been continually exposing allegations that Justice Minister candidate Kim Seung-won solicited lobbying over a new drug.

Park wrote on Facebook on Thursday, "You always said one should have a scholar's critical awareness and a merchant's sense of reality, didn't you? 'OUT' for Han Dong-hoon is not enough. By the law, JAIL."

He went on to say, "Do not touch a skunk. Just leave it alone. The smell is too foul."

On this, Rep. Han Dong-hoon immediately rebuffed him, saying, "The Democratic Party oppas have really thrown quite a party."

Han criticized Park in a social media post, saying, "Rep. Park Ji-won, the original Democratic Party oppa — do you still meet Cho Sung-eun separately on the 38th floor of the Lotte Hotel these days? — said that, as Kim Min-seok put it, simply telling Han Dong-hoon to get 'OUT' is not enough and he should be sent to jail by the law. But if the law had actually been applied, Democratic Party oppas would already be lined up in jail one after another."

He added, "That will not silence me, nor will it bury the Democratic Party oppa lobbying scandal. Go ahead and hold as many all-out parties as you like, with Democratic Party oppas ganging up to block Han Dong-hoon. It is shameful."
