The Busan International Film Festival is set to unveil official collaboration merchandise with lifestyle IP brand Festiver ahead of its 31st edition next month.
The Busan International Film Festival, or BIFF, said Thursday that it would preview the collaboration goods starting Friday through Festiver's official online store and Naver's brand store.
Drawing on Festiver's brand slogan, "Doing, Digging" — helping people like what they like even more — the collection carries the message that "even after the movie ends, the love for it continues." It centers on mobile accessories and other everyday items.
The lineup includes phone cases for iPhone and Galaxy devices, a MagSafe card wallet, and cases for AirPods and Buds earbuds, along with a ticket binder, a picnic mat, a film camera, an umbrella, an acrylic paperweight and a keyring.
BIFF decided to preview merchandise online more than a month before its opening to extend the festival's reach beyond its 10-day, on-site run and into audiences' everyday lives. "Through this project, we have opened a channel for people to experience the mood of the festival online, starting more than a month before the opening," festival organizers said.
The 31st Busan International Film Festival will run for 10 days, from Oct. 6 to Oct. 15, around the Busan Cinema Center.
The opening ceremony on the evening of Oct. 6 at the Busan Cinema Center will be hosted solely by actor Kim Min-ha, while Im Si-wan will host the closing ceremony on the festival's final day. This year's opening film is Director Kim Jong-kwan's "Nat-gwa Bam-eun Seoro-ege" ("To Each Other, Day and Night").
