Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corp. President Kim Yong-jin said Friday that "protecting workers' lives is GH's most important responsibility."
The state-run developer held an "ESG safety and health culture promotion activity" at its headquarters in Suwon on Friday.
The event was organized to build on the safety and health strategy — including a goal of zero serious accidents — established at the company's "Safety Awareness Day" last May.
GH employees took part in team-based exercises aimed at reaching a mature safety culture, engaging in in-depth discussions on safety communication skills and intervention methods needed on site. The sessions moved away from conventional one-way lectures toward a format driven by voluntary participation.
GH also became the first public institution in the country to introduce a safety-tendency assessment tool called SAFETYID.
