Three North Gyeongsang counties seek singles for joint matchmaking program

Chilgok-gun, in partnership with Seongju-gun and Goryeong-gun, announced Saturday it is accepting applications for a joint singles matchmaking program called "Nice to Meet You! Chilgok·Seongju·Goryeong," aimed at helping unmarried men and women in the three North Gyeongsang Province counties meet and connect naturally.

The program will recruit 60 unmarried men and women between the ages of 27 and 39 (born between 1987 and 1999), with residents and workers in the three counties given priority to encourage local youth participation.

Now in its second year, the joint initiative goes beyond one-time couple matching by offering club activities that draw on each county's local character, along with a combined overnight exchange event, giving participants the chance to communicate and build relationships organically.

The club programs include Chilgok-gun's "Maybe a Crush in Chilgok?!" (two sessions), in which participants explore local restaurants and tourist spots while creating their own date maps; Seongju-gun's "Heart-Pounding Seongju Run & Cook" (three sessions), featuring healthy dosirak preparation and a night run; and Goryeong-gun's "Life Shots at the Equestrian Center in Goryeong" (two sessions), offering horseback riding and film photography.

Following the club activities, all participants from the three counties will come together for a one-night, two-day integrated exchange event designed to extend opportunities for natural interaction and connection.

"We hope this program gives young men and women from the three counties a relaxed setting to get to know each other and form new bonds," a Chilgok-gun official said. "We will continue to develop a variety of programs to support youth in meeting partners and building toward marriage."
