Eunpyeong-gu Wins Youth-Friendly Policy Award for Second Consecutive Year

Seoul's Eunpyeong-gu received the Policy Award at the 9th Youth-Friendly Heonjeong Awards on Wednesday.

The Youth-Friendly Heonjeong Awards recognize local governments that have contributed to creating a youth-friendly environment in the areas of policy, legislation and communication. Eunpyeong-gu claimed the honor for the second consecutive year.

The district earned recognition for its wide-ranging efforts to improve the quality of life for young residents and advance policies with tangible impact.

Key achievements cited included the operation of a dedicated youth affairs division, expanded policy participation through the Eunpyeong Youth Network, comprehensive tailored support through the Seoul Youth Center Eunpyeong, and a strengthened employment and startup support framework to help young residents enter the workforce.

"This award is the result of our unceasing efforts to bring real change to the lives of young people," Eunpyeong-gu District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said. "We will continue to develop effective youth policies so that young people can nurture their dreams and build a stable future in Eunpyeong."
