Located in Saudi Arabia, the experience space targets local construction companies and real estate developers, showcasing integrated solutions from home appliances to building management
LG Electronics has officially opened the Middle East's first business-to-business AI home experience space in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to LG Electronics on Monday, the AI home experience space — set up inside its Riyadh brand shop — is designed for B2B customers including local construction companies, real estate developers and hospitality operators.
The space is furnished to resemble an actual home, complete with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, and features a lineup of locally tailored built-in appliances including ovens, range hoods and refrigerators. Premium furniture has also been arranged throughout to present a fully realized residential environment.
Visitors can experience the convenience of an AI home by connecting various IoT devices through LG Electronics' AI home hub ThinQ ON and the Homey Pro hub from Dutch smart home platform company Athom.
LG Electronics also partnered with energy management firm Schneider Electric and security company Assa Abloy to present a turnkey building management solution covering appliances, HVAC, power management and security.
Demand for smart buildings and premium residential complexes is growing rapidly in Saudi Arabia. According to market research firm Grand View Horizon, the Saudi smart home market is projected to expand from about $2 billion in 2024 to roughly $8.7 billion by 2030, representing average annual growth of more than 27 percent.
LG Electronics plans to use the Riyadh space as a regional B2B showroom hub, leveraging Saudi Arabia's geographic position as a gateway between the Middle East and Africa, while actively pursuing local demand with tailored AI home solutions. The company also intends to expand its customer touchpoints to major cities including Jeddah and Dammam before the end of the year.
As LG Electronics broadens its B2B portfolio across the Global South, including the Middle East, it is accelerating its push into the global AI home market with solutions tailored to residential environments around the world.
In North America, the company is targeting the builder market with LG ThinQ Pro, which maximizes operational convenience for building managers. In Europe, it is pursuing eco-conscious demand through a Homey-based home energy management system.
"Starting with this Riyadh AI home experience space, we will firmly establish ourselves as a trusted B2B partner for local infrastructure development in the Middle East — a key region within the Global South — by leading with tailored solutions," said Kim Sung-jae, executive vice president and head of LG Electronics' HS overseas sales group.
