300 first-phase participants post average 68% sales gain
SSG.com said Monday that 300 food partner companies that participated in the first phase of the TOPS Program — a small-business brand development initiative supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups — posted average sales growth of 68 percent year-on-year during the April–July period.
SSG.com analyzed participants' sales data and best practices to propose operational strategies and sales expansion plans, and linked promotional activities and product-trial campaigns to further support sellers.
One participating brand, Badaeobo, used the consulting to identify dried squid strips as its flagship product and stepped up brand promotion. After running special discount events for members of its "SSG 7 Club" loyalty program, the brand hit a weekly sales record and saw overall sales rise 106 percent compared with the same period a year earlier.
SSG.com's own seller-growth programs are also expanding. The number of new brands joining its "Brand Mark" program rose 24 percent year-on-year, with their combined sales up 28 percent. The number of new businesses receiving AI performance advertising subsidies grew 36 percent.
"We will run both the government-backed initiative and our own seller-development programs together to help competitive small businesses grow," an SSG.com official said.
