Golfzon to cover repair costs for screen golf stores flooded in heavy rains

Golfzon announced Monday it will provide recovery support to franchised and non-franchised screen golf stores equipped with its simulators that were damaged by flooding from heavy rains that struck South Gyeongsang Province's Geoje area in August.

The company said it decided to offer the support to put into practice its values of coexistence with screen golf business owners and corporate giving. Store damage caused by natural disasters — including heavy rains, burst pipes and heavy snowfall — is not ordinarily eligible for after-the-fact support.

Golfzon said it will prioritize stores that suffered the most severe damage in Geoje, Gyeonggi Province and Busan, all of which were declared disaster zones following the downpours. The company said it has already surveyed the extent of the damage and plans to cover all recovery-related costs in full, including parts repair, replacement and labor.

"We decided to lend our support to help screen golf business owners and operators who were hit by the recent heavy rains get back to their daily routines and resume store operations as quickly as possible," Golfzon Chief Executive Park Kang-su said. "We will do our best to consistently provide a wide range of welfare services for our stores and store owners."
