Forum runs Monday through Wednesday at Jeju International Convention Center
Company presents residential heating and cooling electrification solutions
'EHS All-in-One' delivers cooling, floor heating and hot water from a single outdoor unit
'EHS Heat Pump Boiler' provides stable heating even in extreme cold
Samsung Electronics is participating in the 2026 Green Hydrogen Global Forum, held Monday through Wednesday at the Jeju International Convention Center, where it will exhibit its residential heating and cooling electrification solutions.
Hosted by the Ministry of Climate, Environment and Energy and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the forum explores new directions in the global energy transition, with a focus on AI-driven renewable energy innovation and green hydrogen cooperation.
Samsung Electronics will present two high-efficiency heat pump solutions: the EHS All-in-One, a combined heating and cooling system, and the EHS Heat Pump Boiler, a dedicated heating solution. The company will display the physical products alongside technical diagrams to help visitors understand how heat pumps work and what sets them apart.
The EHS All-in-One uses a single outdoor unit to provide cooling, water-based floor heating and hot water supply simultaneously. It features a heat-recovery function that recycles waste heat generated during cooling to produce hot water, boosting overall energy efficiency.
The unit is designed to maintain stable heating performance even in sub-zero temperatures and uses R32 refrigerant, which has a global warming potential roughly 68 percent lower than the widely used R410A refrigerant.
The EHS heat pump is an integrated solution that draws on ambient air and electricity to supply indoor heating, cooling and hot water. It can deliver more heat per unit of energy input than conventional fossil-fuel boilers, which operate below 100 percent energy efficiency, positioning it as a next-generation product.
The outdoor unit is equipped with an electric heater and an anti-freeze valve, and a drainage heater at the base prevents freezing and pipe icing.
Through high-efficiency refrigerant compression technology, the system can reliably supply hot water at up to 70 degrees Celsius even at minus 15 degrees Celsius and is designed to operate in temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius.
Both the EHS All-in-One and the EHS Heat Pump Boiler can be controlled via a touch display. When linked to the SmartThings app, users can monitor indoor and outlet water temperatures in real time and operate the units remotely.
Samsung Electronics has set up a new EHS Heat Pump Boiler production line at its Gwangju facility and is strengthening its installation and service capabilities to expand the product's domestic footprint.
The company is also conducting real-world trials of the EHS All-in-One at a standalone house on Jeju Island and at Samsung C&T's residential research institute in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, as part of a comprehensive review of its applicability in residential settings.
"This forum is an opportunity to showcase Samsung Electronics' differentiated heat pump technology and the potential of our EHS solutions at a time when the energy transition is accelerating," said Park Jeong-mi, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics' Korea business division. "We will continue to improve energy efficiency in residential environments and actively contribute to the electrification of heating and cooling in Korea through our high-efficiency solutions."
