Lotte Biologics to hit Milan, Yokohama and San Diego in October blitz

Lotte Biologics is set to make a consecutive run at major global biotech events across Europe, Asia and North America in October as it ramps up its push for contract development and manufacturing organization contracts.

The company announced Monday that it will participate in three back-to-back international events throughout the month: CPHI Milan 2026 in Italy, BioJapan 2026 in Japan and World ADC San Diego in the United States.

At CPHI Milan 2026, running Oct. 6-8 in Milan, Lotte Biologics will operate a solo booth and deliver on-site presentations showcasing its large-scale commercial manufacturing capabilities and bispecific antibody technology.

At BioJapan, held Oct. 7-9 in Yokohama, the company plans to highlight its automated manufacturing control system and digital twin-based production quality management. It will then present the technical capabilities of its antibody-drug conjugate CDMO platform at World ADC, running Oct. 12-15 in San Diego.

Lotte Biologics received building-use approval for Plant 1 at its Songdo Bio Campus in June, moving the facility into the good manufacturing practice readiness phase. With a Korea-US dual-site operation linking the Songdo plant and its Syracuse, New York factory now coming into view, the company is positioning supply chain stability for global major pharmaceutical companies as a core competitive advantage.

The company has secured a total of four contracts with global pharmaceutical and biotech firms since the start of this year. The October conference blitz is seen as an all-out effort to build a preemptive pipeline of potential customers in the United States, Asia and Europe ahead of the commercial launch of Songdo Plant 1 — with the aim of driving up the factory's utilization rate as early as possible.
