The incoming chairman brings more than three decades of administrative and field experience in water regeneration and urban infrastructure, pledging stable service delivery and a corporation citizens can trust.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced Tuesday that it has appointed Jin Jae-seop, former director of the Urban Railway Bureau under the city's Urban Infrastructure Headquarters, as chairman of the Seoul Water Regeneration Facilities Corporation, effective Tuesday. His term runs three years from the date of appointment.
Jin joined the Seoul Metropolitan Government in 1995 and has accumulated roughly 31 years of diverse administrative and field experience, having served in the World Cup Main Stadium Construction Unit, the Water Regeneration Facilities Division, the Future Han River Headquarters and the Urban Infrastructure Headquarters.
He developed particular expertise in water regeneration during his time at the city's Water Regeneration Facilities Division, and is expected to draw on his project management experience from the Urban Infrastructure Headquarters to steer the corporation through its key challenges.
Jin appeared before the Seoul Metropolitan Council's confirmation hearing on Sept. 8, where lawmakers examined his management philosophy, his vision for the corporation and his capacity to carry out the duties of chairman.
"The stable operation of water regeneration facilities is a vital public service directly tied to citizens' daily lives, and I feel the weight of that responsibility deeply," Jin said. "Drawing on the administrative experience and expertise I have built over the years, I will bring the organization's full capabilities together to deliver safe, clean water regeneration services and do my utmost to build a corporation that citizens can trust."
