National Health Insurance Service to hire 374 new employees in second half of year

The National Health Insurance Service announced Tuesday it will hold an open recruitment drive for 374 new employees.

Positions are divided by job category: 278 administrative, 26 health, 62 long-term care and 8 IT roles. Hiring will be conducted by regional recruitment zone.

The recruitment includes both open competitive hiring and restricted competitive tracks for high school graduates (Grade 6-B), people with disabilities, veterans and individuals from Gangwon Province.

The process will exclude bias factors such as gender, age and educational background, applying a blind hiring system based on the National Competency Standards across all stages — document screening, written examination and interviews.

Applications must be submitted online through the agency's recruitment portal by 2 p.m. on Sept. 29. The application window opens Tuesday.

Final successful candidates will be announced Dec. 7. Those selected will begin a probationary appointment Dec. 28 and will be converted to permanent staff based on their performance over a three-month evaluation period.
