Unidentified woman's body found near Ganghwado port; investigation launched

Police have launched an investigation after an unidentified body was found near a port on Ganghwado, Incheon.

According to the Incheon Maritime Police Agency, a report came in at around 7:13 a.m. Tuesday that a body had been discovered near Deoreomi Port in Ganghwa-gun.

The body was identified as that of a woman, though her age and other details have not been confirmed.

Workers collecting marine debris in the area found the body and called authorities.

Maritime police said they plan to identify the woman and determine the exact circumstances of her death.
