Partnership with KB Kookmin Card; headquarters to cover 100% of transaction fees
The Born Korea announced Wednesday that it has added a card payment function to the order management system franchise owners use to purchase supplies, allowing them to pay for orders with a dedicated payment card.
The company said the move aims to ease short-term cash flow pressures that can arise during franchise operations ahead of the chuseok holiday, while giving franchise owners more flexibility in how they pay.
The Born Korea built the system in partnership with KB Kookmin Card. Franchise owners can register a dedicated payment card directly within the existing order management system — no separate platform or ordering tool required — and then choose to switch eligible supply payments to card transactions. The headquarters will cover 100 percent of card transaction fees.
"Supply costs are an ongoing expense in running a franchise," a company official said. "Ahead of the holiday season, when cash demand rises, this will go a long way toward spreading out the burden of cash outlays for our franchise owners."
