Members of the Gapcheon-myeon Senior Citizens Association in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon Province, spent Monday enjoying a day of lively activities fit for people half their age.
They played traditional games including hangung and tombstone tossing, and beamed with delight as students from Gapcheon Elementary School — young enough to be their grandchildren — treated them to spirited performances.
The scenes unfolded at the indoor gymnasium of Gapcheon Elementary School, the venue for the 13th annual Senior Citizens' Young Again Day.
Jung Bong-seop, chairman of the Gapcheon-myeon Senior Citizens Association, expressed gratitude to everyone who made the event possible. "I am deeply thankful to all who organized this gathering and to all who brought joy to our seniors," he said. "Thanks to you, our elders were able to spend a truly happy day."
