Two-day outdoor event runs Sept. 25-26
Activities range from yutnori to songpyeon-making
Jeju Shinhwa World, the integrated resort complex on Jeju Island, will hold a Chuseok holiday event called "Find the Moon Rabbit's Lost Songpyeon!" on Sept. 25 and 26.
The event is free and open to all customers visiting the resort during the Chuseok holiday. It runs from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the outdoor garden in front of the M Lounge.
Inspired by the legend of the moon rabbit and Chuseok symbols — the full moon and songpyeon rice cakes — the main game challenges participants to find songpyeon hidden around the venue. Players collect color-coded stickers for each one they find, and final scores determine the rankings.
Prizes await the top scorers: first place wins a single-person dining voucher for Sky on Five Dining, second place receives a lunch special voucher for Seonghwajeong, third place gets a running cushion, and fourth place earns a single Americano voucher at Cove.
Beyond the main game, the resort has prepared a range of activities for all ages. These include a high-striker game where players swing a hammer to send a gauge up to the moon rabbit's full moon, a Chuseok songpyeon-making session for the whole family, a wish-letter station called the Moon Rabbit Wish Post Office, a yutnori board-game mission, a timer challenge where players guess the exact time to win, a random-draw game called "Find the Songpyeon in the Dark," and a balloon art workshop.
"We have prepared a variety of interactive events so that customers visiting Jeju Shinhwa World during the great national holiday of Chuseok can laugh and enjoy themselves with their families," a resort official said. "We hope you will create a rich and happy Chuseok memory with the moon rabbit at Jeju Shinhwa World."
