Man threatens middle schoolers with toy knife after they ask him to use earphones

A man in his 30s has been taken in for questioning after threatening three middle school students with a toy rubber knife in Incheon.

Incheon's Nonhyeon Police Station is investigating the man, identified only by his surname initial A, on charges of intimidation, according to Yonhap.

A is accused of brandishing a toy rubber knife at three middle school students near a middle school in Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, at around 7:45 p.m. Monday.

A had been playing music loudly at the time, and the incident occurred after the students asked him to use earphones.

After the students reported the incident, police tracked A down using CCTV footage and brought him in voluntarily Wednesday.

Police said they plan to investigate the full circumstances of the case. The charges against A may also change as the investigation proceeds, they added.
