Hotel Shilla to open Shilla Monogram in Hanoi next month

Hotel Shilla announced Sunday it will open its lifestyle hotel brand Shilla Monogram Hanoi West Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam. The property will be the third overseas location for the Shilla Monogram brand, following earlier openings in Da Nang, Vietnam, and Xi'an, China.

Shilla Monogram is an upper-upscale lifestyle hotel brand that draws on the service expertise of The Shilla while reflecting the culture and lifestyle of each destination. The brand launched in Da Nang in 2020, followed by Gangneung in July last year and Xi'an in February this year. The Hanoi property will operate under a management contract, consistent with the brand's existing model.

Shilla Monogram Hanoi West Lake, opening Oct. 23, is a 319-room five-star hotel whose design draws inspiration from Vietnam's traditional terraced rice paddies. The property features five food and beverage outlets — including Dining M, a restaurant with 234 seats — along with a banquet hall, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a spa.

The hotel sits in Starlake, one of Hanoi's prominent new towns, between the city center and Noi Bai International Airport. The area is regarded as an emerging hub for administration, business and residential use, with plans underway to relocate government offices and develop a diplomatic complex, and global companies already operating nearby.

Hotel Shilla said the Hanoi opening marks the start of a full-scale push into the northern Vietnam market. "Shilla Monogram Hanoi West Lake represents a new global base that combines Vietnam's growth potential with Hotel Shilla's service strengths," a company official said. "We will work to establish it as a defining hotel in Hanoi, built on differentiated customer experiences and premium service."
