Incheon Metropolitan City finalized its second supplementary budget for 2026 at 17.02 trillion won ($12.3 billion).
The city said the Incheon Metropolitan Council approved the supplementary budget on Friday. The revised spending plan represents an increase of 1.15 trillion won over the original budget.
The budget includes an additional 77.9 billion won for cashback support under the Incheon e-eum program.
From Friday through the end of September, the cashback rate will be raised to 10 percent with a monthly cap of 1 million won. From October through December, payments will be capped at 500,000 won per month.
The budget also allocates 12.7 billion won for childbirth support, 1.5 billion won in additional youth monthly rent assistance, 27.9 billion won in public transit fiscal support, and 6.6 billion won for the Incheon i-Bada Pass program.
Essential expenditures totaling 264.1 billion won were also earmarked, covering 44.7 billion won for long-term care insurance co-payments for the elderly, 53.6 billion won to expand fiscal support for the semi-public bus system, 41.8 billion won for urban rail operating costs and related expenses, and 21.3 billion won in fuel subsidies for commercial freight vehicles.
