Samsung E&A hosts family open day for employees, drawing over 1,000 visitors

Samsung E&A announced Monday that it had hosted a family open day for its employees.

The engineering firm held the event three times — on Sept. 5, Sept. 12 and Saturday — at its Global Engineering Center in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. More than 1,000 people from 300 employee households attended, touring the building and taking part in a range of programs.

The event opened with family photos of employees displayed on the lobby screen alongside welcome messages. Employees and their families explored the office spaces, walking paths, rooftop garden and showroom while completing a stamp-rally mission. A safety experience center drew particularly strong interest, offering hands-on education in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, emergency evacuation and fire extinguisher use.

Attendees also captured memories at photo zones and self-service photo booths set up throughout the venue. The event wrapped up with a meal at the company cafeteria, a magic show and a lucky draw. Families received honorary employee cards and commemorative gifts.

"Through this event, employees' families were able to experience the work environment firsthand and deepen their understanding of the company," a Samsung E&A official said. "We will continue to do our best to foster a healthy organizational culture so that our employees can take pride in their work."
