Comedian Lee Seung-yoon forgets anniversary two years running, redeems himself with date

"I've come back from the dark side," comedian Lee Seung-yoon said.

Lee forgot his wedding anniversary for the second consecutive year — but quickly made amends.

On Monday, Lee posted photos on Instagram showing himself out with his wife, writing that the couple had gone furniture shopping together ahead of an upcoming move and enjoyed a rare date. "I can sleep at home now," he added.

In the photos, the couple is holding a bouquet of flowers — apparently a belated anniversary gift.

Lee closed the post by thanking fans for their concern and urging everyone to "make sure you remember your anniversary."

Earlier, Lee had posted that he only realized it was his anniversary on his way home from work. "I can't help but laugh," he wrote.

He said he had not reached out to his wife on Monday and had nothing prepared. "I forgot last year too — what am I going to do? There are still 29 minutes left. I told my manager not to go home just yet," he wrote.

Lee then followed up with another post saying, "And so Seung-yoon, who forgot his anniversary, retreated into nature," accompanied by a photo of himself in a tent on a hillside.

Known as a fitness-conscious comedian, Lee is a regular on the MBN lifestyle program "Naneun Jayeoninida," a nature-living reality show.
