Samsung Electronics Service to offer emergency repairs over Chuseok holiday

Samsung Electronics Service announced Tuesday that it will offer emergency repair services throughout the Chuseok holiday period.

Service centers will be closed on the first day of the holiday, Thursday, and on chuseok itself, Friday, but nine "weekend care centers" will operate Saturday and Sunday, accepting advance reservations for repairs of mobile phones, tablets and wearable products.

Reservations for the weekend care centers can be made through the Samsung Electronics Service website or contact center. Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the Samsung Gangnam service center will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Eleven "Baro Service" stores co-located inside Samsung stores will also be open Saturday and Sunday, offering services such as smartphone checkups and screen protector installation.

Contact center agents and on-site service engineers will be on emergency standby throughout the holiday, providing "emergency on-site service" for urgent cases — primarily appliances with critical issues such as refrigerators that have stopped cooling or freezing.

In preparation for the holiday, Samsung Electronics Service will also post self-diagnosis guides, frequently asked questions and troubleshooting tips for each product category on its website, and will provide AI chatbot support.
