Girls take selfies with flowers, then scramble displays at unmanned flower shop

Four female students who entered an unmanned 24-hour flower shop, took selfies with the flowers and then deliberately mixed up bouquets priced at different amounts before leaving have drawn widespread criticism online.

On Monday, a flower shop owner identified only as A posted CCTV footage and photos of the incident on Threads, showing the four students inside the store.

According to A, the students picked up flowers from the displays one by one to pose for photos, then repeatedly placed them back in the wrong sections — swapping bouquets between price tiers rather than returning them to their original spots.

The CCTV footage showed the students walking around the shop holding multiple bouquets and laughing as they placed flowers in the wrong display stands.

A said the shop had kept flowers priced at 4,900 won on the right side and those priced at 9,900 won on the left, but the students moved the 9,900-won flowers to the 4,900-won display and vice versa. "They each grabbed a bouquet, took a photo, stuck it somewhere else and walked out," A said.

Customers who visited after the students left picked out the 9,900-won flowers from the 4,900-won display and paid the lower price, leaving A with a loss equal to the price difference.

"From the moment they walked in, they kept swapping flowers into the wrong price spots. Even after finishing their photos, they just left without putting anything back," A said. A added that the students had appeared suspiciously familiar with the shop's layout from the start, and said high-resolution CCTV cameras had been installed precisely to handle situations like this.

A went on to say that those responsible should face consequences. "In all my years, I have never seen students with so little sense of right and wrong. This is not a minor offense — it is obstruction of business. What kind of education did they receive to behave this way? I am going to the police to file a report on Wednesday," A said.
