Yoo Jae-suk cancels recording due to cold, high fever; reshoot being scheduled

Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk, 54, has canceled a scheduled recording due to a health issue.

His agency, Antenna, said Tuesday that Yoo had developed a temporary high fever from a cold and was forced to cancel the recording.

He had been scheduled to film Season 5 of the SBS variety program "Tteummanna" at a location in Seoul, but the cancellation was decided before filming began.

"He is currently focused on recovery," the agency said, adding that it had sought understanding from those involved and was coordinating a date for a reshoot.

The production team of "Tteummanna" also confirmed that Yoo had apologized to staff and called off the shoot Tuesday due to a decline in his condition just before filming was set to begin, saying a new recording date would be arranged soon.

It marks the first time Yoo has canceled a same-day recording for health or other reasons since his debut at the first KBS College Comedy Festival in 1991.

Yoo currently appears on multiple variety programs, including "Tteummanna" on SBS, "Happy Together — Better Together" on KBS 2TV, "Hang Out with Yoo" on MBC, and "You Quiz on the Block" and "Sixth Sense: B-Side" on tvN.
