Korea Exchange announced Tuesday it will hold "Korea Premium Weeks 2026, Kosdaq Day" on Oct. 6-7.

The two-day event, to be held at Korea Exchange's Yeouido Seoul office, will center on the Kosdaq market and combine policy briefings, industry outlooks and IR sessions for listed companies.

The first day will feature presentations on key regulatory improvements related to Kosdaq listings and delistings, plans to nurture innovative companies, and measures to strengthen investor confidence. Securities firm experts will also deliver lectures covering the pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor and beauty sectors.

In addition, 26 Konex-listed companies — including Nano Solution and Songwoo Infotech, both of which went public this year — will meet investors through IR sessions.

On the second day, 33 Kosdaq companies will hold IR sessions targeting institutional investors, including blue-chip firms such as PharmaResearch and LigaChem Biosciences as well as newly listed companies Ingenia Therapeutics and Cmtx. Seven companies, including Olix and Jeju Semiconductor, will hold separate IR sessions at the Korea Exchange IR Center.

Advance registration for the IR sessions is available through the Korea IR Council website. However, the Kosdaq IR sessions on Oct. 7 are open to institutional investors only.

Korea Exchange said it expects the event to "deepen the understanding of and attention to Kosdaq's growth potential and top-listed companies among domestic and foreign investors," adding that it plans to "continue expanding touchpoints between the Kosdaq market and investors at home and abroad, and actively promote the competitiveness and investment appeal of the venture capital market."

Kosdaq set a record earlier this year by breaking through the 1,200 level but has since retreated and is now hovering near 800. The index closed Tuesday down 0.23 percent at 834.38.
