Kumho Engineering & Construction launches new-hire recruitment drive ahead of 60th anniversary

Kumho Engineering & Construction announced Tuesday it will hold an open recruitment drive for new hires in the second half of 2026. The company plans to hire a double-digit number of employees across five fields — architectural construction, civil construction, environment, housing planning and safety management — as it approaches its 60th anniversary in 2027.

All positions are full-time. Successful candidates will undergo an orientation program before being assigned to the company's headquarters or project sites nationwide based on their role and project schedule.

Applications will be accepted through the company's recruitment website from Tuesday until 6 p.m. on Oct. 1. The selection process consists of a document screening, an online aptitude test, first and second rounds of interviews, and a medical examination. Final candidates are expected to join the company in December.

Applicants must have already graduated or be on track to graduate in February 2027. Candidates must have no restrictions on overseas travel, and male applicants must have completed or been exempted from military service. The safety management position requires at least a construction safety engineer or industrial safety engineer certification, and applicants with relevant academic backgrounds or professional certifications will receive preference by field.

Founded in 1967, Kumho Engineering & Construction operates across architectural, civil, plant and environmental construction, as well as housing development under its residential brand Artera. The company plans to use its 60th anniversary in 2027 as a springboard to strengthen new growth engines for the future.

Meanwhile, Kumho Engineering & Construction has drawn market attention amid growing expectations surrounding the government's plan to break ground early on a semiconductor cluster in the Honam region. Although the company's headquarters is in Seoul, it maintains its registered principal office in Naju, South Jeolla Province, making it a prominent construction company with roots in the Honam region. Its share price has surged sharply of late as a result.
