Smoke of unknown origin detected around 8:10 p.m.; trains bypassing station from 8:24 p.m.
No casualties reported, but evening commuters face disruption

Trains on Seoul subway Line 2 are bypassing Ewha Womans University Station in both directions after smoke was detected inside the station Tuesday.
According to Seoul Metro, smoke of unknown origin rose from the direction of the platform at around 8:10 p.m.
In response, Seoul Metro began routing all trains — both inner-circle and outer-circle — through the station without stopping from 8:24 p.m. as a passenger safety measure.
No casualties have been reported. However, commuters heading home faced disruptions as they were unable to use the station.
"We are currently investigating the exact cause," a Seoul Metro official said.
