Daegu Mayor Choo greets Chuseok homecomers at Dongdaegu Station

Daegu Mayor Choo Kyung-ho visited Dongdaegu Station on Thursday afternoon, the first day of the Chuseok holiday, to personally welcome travelers returning home for the holiday.

Standing inside the station, Choo made eye contact with arriving passengers one by one and offered warm greetings. "You've come such a long way — thank you for making the trip. Welcome home to Daegu," he said.

He also asked travelers whether their journey had been comfortable and inquired about their families, engaging directly with citizens in a personal exchange.

"I wanted to be the first to welcome those coming home with excitement in their hearts," Choo said. "I hope you enjoy a warm and happy Chuseok, sharing precious time with your loved ones."
