Affordable office space offered to social economy enterprises; applications accepted by email from Wednesday through Oct. 7
Two rooms available — a two-person and a four-person unit
Gwanak-gu is accepting applications from social economy enterprises to move into its co-working space facility, aiming to support their stable operations and sustainable growth.
A co-working space is a shared office environment where multiple companies use individual work areas alongside common facilities, enabling networking and collaboration. The district operates the space to provide affordable offices to social economy enterprises that struggle to secure workspace on their own, and to foster the growth of the local social economy ecosystem through inter-company exchange and cooperation.
Eligible applicants include prospective and certified social enterprises, cooperatives, community businesses and self-sufficiency enterprises. Two units are available on the fourth floor of Nanhyang Kkumdungji at 78 Nangok-ro: a two-person room (5.8 square meters) and a four-person room (8.4 square meters).
Tenants will be able to use the office space at rates well below market price. The tenancy period is two years and may be renewed once, allowing stable use for up to four years.
In addition to their individual offices, tenants have access to shared spaces and facilities within the co-working space. Companies already in residence use the common areas for team activities, regular meetings, promotional video shoots and capacity-building training, while also exploring new collaboration opportunities through inter-company networking and information sharing.
Final tenants will be selected through a document review and interview process. Applications must be submitted by email to the relevant officer; full details on eligibility, the application period and procedures are available in the recruitment notice posted under "News & Announcements" on the Gwanak-gu website, or by contacting the Jobs and Venture Division.
Beyond operating the co-working space, the district runs a range of support programs for social economy enterprises, including project development funding, market-access support, and education and consulting services. It plans to consistently expand these initiatives to strengthen the self-sufficiency and continued growth of social economy enterprises in the area.
"We hope the co-working space will be more than just an office — a place where social economy enterprises share ideas and experiences and create new opportunities for collaboration," Gwanak-gu District Mayor Park Jun-hee said. "We will continue to provide practical support so that social economy enterprises can put down stable roots in the community and keep growing."
