Hankook Tire to exclusively supply racing tires to US motorsport firm Racing America

Hankook Tire & Technology will exclusively supply tires to major racing series run by US motorsport company Racing America from 2027 to 2031, serving as the official tire partner.

Hankook Tire & Technology signed a five-year partnership agreement with Racing America at its Tennessee factory on Friday (local time), the company announced Tuesday. Under the deal, the company will supply tires exclusively to Racing America's major racing series and provide technical and engineering support, on-site service and joint marketing.

The agreement makes Hankook Tire & Technology a new sponsor of Trans Am, a leading American road racing series, and International GT, a premium sports car racing series. The company also renewed its contract with the Formula Racing series, with which it has maintained a partnership since 2019.

Trans Am, launched in 1966, is a muscle car-based racing series with nearly 60 years of history, while International GT features competition among premium sports cars. The Formula Racing series aims to develop the next generation of formula drivers.

Through the partnership, Hankook Tire & Technology aims to showcase the racing tire technology of its global brand Hankook on the North American motorsport stage and strengthen its position as a premium brand. Beyond the exclusive tire supply and technical and on-site support, the company plans to expand its reach to local fans through trackside branding, digital and broadcast media, and social media marketing.

Hankook Tire & Technology supplies racing tires and sponsors participating teams at more than 70 motorsport events worldwide, including the World Rally Championship, the top-tier global motorsport series sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile.

Meanwhile, Hankook Tire & Technology is also deepening its partnerships with global automakers — supplying its premium SUV comfort tire, the Dynapro HPX, as original equipment for the North American version of Volkswagen's full-size SUV, the Atlas.
