The 14th Yeonsu Neungheo Cultural Festival will be held Oct. 9-10 at Yeonsu Hanmaeum Park and Neungheo Park in Incheon.
Hosted by Incheon's Yeonsu-gu, the festival reinterprets the maritime exchange history of Baekje envoys from more than 1,600 years ago through a contemporary lens and cutting-edge technology.
Held under the theme "Neungheo, The Voyage of Light," the opening day on Oct. 9 will kick off with the "Global Baekje Envoy Procession," a large-scale parade featuring foreign diplomatic delegations, multicultural families and local residents.
The day will also include a traditional performance drama tracing the history of exchanges between Baekje and the Southern Dynasties of China, a ceremony marking Yeonsu-gu Residents' Day, and celebratory performances by popular singers including RESCENE, Ailee and Shin In-sun.
On the evening of the first day, a drone light show featuring more than 2,000 drones will fill the night sky alongside a fireworks display, together recreating the ancient departure voyage of the envoy fleet in a dynamic visual spectacle.
The second day, Oct. 10, will focus on community participation. Scheduled events include a talent competition among local community centers, a running race billed as the 2026 Yeonsu career-exploration course run, and the second Yeonsu Residents' Song Contest featuring performances by Park Seo-jin, Kim Pil and Hong Jin-young.
The festival will close with "Bit Chum-ta," a finale performance blending LED visuals, contemporary dance and traditional percussion, followed by a fireworks show.
More than 60 experience and promotional booths, along with a food market, will operate throughout the festival grounds.
