Individual net purchases reach 4.8 trillion won since January
1.67 trillion won flows in during second half alone
Mirae Asset Global Investments' TIGER US S&P 500 ETF has topped individual net purchases among domestically listed ETFs this year. If it holds the top spot through year-end, it will mark three consecutive years as the No. 1 ETF by individual net purchases.
According to Mirae Asset Global Investments, individual net purchases of the TIGER US S&P 500 ETF reached 4.86 trillion won ($3.6 billion) from the start of the year through Monday, the largest among all domestically listed ETFs including leveraged and inverse products.
Inflows from individual investors accelerated in the second half of the year. From July 1 through Monday, individual net purchases totaled 1.67 trillion won, again ranking first among all ETFs. The sustained inflows reflect demand for long-term, diversified investment in the S&P 500 index amid continued market volatility.
Net assets have also grown rapidly. The TIGER US S&P 500 ETF, which listed in August 2020, surpassed 2 trillion won in net assets in September 2023, then crossed 10 trillion won in October 2025 and 20 trillion won in July this year — reaching the 20 trillion won milestone faster than any other domestic ETF. As of Monday, total net assets stood at 21.02 trillion won, making it the largest overseas equity ETF listed in South Korea.
"The fact that the TIGER US S&P 500 ETF continues to lead in individual net purchases shows that investors are maintaining their appetite for long-term, diversified exposure to the benchmark US index even as market volatility has increased," said Kim Sang-yul, head of the global ETF management division at Mirae Asset Global Investments. "We will do our utmost in managing the product so that this record of three consecutive years at the top can translate into lasting asset accumulation for domestic investors."
