Starbucks Korea marks World Coffee Day with buy-one-get-one decaf event

Starbucks Korea will hold a buy-one-get-one decaffeinated coffee promotion at stores nationwide on Thursday to mark World Coffee Day.

The event was designed to share the coffee experience with customers and features a wide lineup that includes brewed coffee, decaffeinated coffee and packaged coffee.

Through Friday, customers who purchase a decaf or half-decaf event beverage between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. daily will receive a second drink of the same kind at no charge. The seven eligible beverages are the Decaf Black Glazed Latte, Decaf Caffe Americano, Decaf Caffe Latte, Decaf Vanilla Latte, Decaf Starbucks Dolce Latte, Decaf Caramel Macchiato and Decaf Flat White.

Starbucks will also give away free coffee on World Coffee Day itself. The first 27 customers at each store that day will receive one tall-size brewed coffee and a specially designed "Coffeeness" sticker.

A World Coffee Day special sale will run on the Starbucks app's online store through Oct. 7. "We hope more customers can feel Starbucks' Coffeeness in their everyday lives through our stores and online store," said Lee Sang-mi, Starbucks Korea's marketing director.
