North Gyeongsang education office announces 2027 secondary school teacher hiring exam plan

The North Gyeongsang Provincial Office of Education announced Wednesday its plan for the 2027 competitive hiring examination for public and private secondary school teachers, including special education, professional counseling, nutrition, health and library teachers.

A total of 335 candidates are to be selected — 239 for public schools and 96 for private schools.

The public school quota covers 239 positions across 24 subjects, including secondary school teachers and special education, professional counseling, nutrition, health and library teachers.

The private school quota covers 96 positions across 23 subjects, drawn from 35 private school foundations that have entrusted the hiring examination to the provincial education office.

Applications will be accepted online through the public school staff recruitment system from 9 a.m. Oct. 12 through 6 p.m. Oct. 16.

First-round results will be posted on the provincial education office's website on Dec. 29, with final results announced on Feb. 5, 2027.
