Broadcaster Joo Byung-jin is set to confess lingering hurt feelings toward Lee Kyung-kyu, a fellow entertainer he had not seen in more than 30 years.
According to News1, a preview for the show "Namgyeoseo Mwo Hage" was released Wednesday on the YouTube channel tvN STORY, under the title "Joo Byung-jin and Lee Kyung-kyu face each other after 30 years? The story of two men begins again."
In the clip, Joo said he had "never once seen him on a broadcast since 'Il Bam' ended." Lee also said, "Strangely, sunbae Joo Byung-jin and I only worked together for a year and a half, but the memories of our partnership have stayed with me so strongly."
Joo then revealed, "We hadn't seen each other for more than 30 years." The two were shown reuniting, with Lee bowing politely in greeting. After a warm handshake, they exchanged pleasantries — "It's been a while" and "Have you been well?"
Joo then opened up, saying, "There was a time when things were really hard for me." He added, "You could have at least sent a text," then said, "If I had been angry, I would have expressed that anger — but I've gone beyond even that, to a place of complete letting go." The remarks deepened curiosity about what may have passed between the two men.
"Namgyeoseo Mwo Hage" airs every Monday at 8 p.m.
