Agency vows 'responsible follow-up measures' after late-night filming disrupts residents
The agency behind five-member boy group Keyvitup has issued an apology after police were called to a music video shoot in Incheon in the early morning hours following noise complaints from residents.
Agency iNKODE posted a statement on Keyvitup's official website Wednesday expressing regret to residents disturbed during what should have been a peaceful night. "We are deeply sorry to the residents who experienced inconvenience and harm due to noise from the recent Keyvitup music video shoot," the agency said. "We made various efforts to minimize disruption to residents during the filming process, but as the shoot extended into the late hours, we failed to pay close enough attention to the impact on the surrounding environment and residents' daily lives."
The agency added that it would personally visit affected residents and handle follow-up matters responsibly. "We take this incident very seriously and sincerely apologize once again to all residents who were inconvenienced," it said.
The agency went on to say it would take greater care during future productions. "We will conduct more thorough pre-shoot inspections with the production team and carefully manage filming hours and on-site noise to ensure a similar situation does not occur again," it said.
'Music video shoot too loud': 112 emergency call logged
According to the Incheon Michuhol Police Station, a complaint was filed with the 112 emergency line at around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday reporting excessive noise from a music video shoot at Jeomulpo Market in Sungui-dong, Michuhol-gu.
Police responded to the scene, after which filming wrapped up shortly.
One internet user wrote on the SNS platform Threads that the shoot was unlike anything they had seen in a decade of living in the neighborhood. "I've lived in this area for 10 years and witnessed countless shoots, but this is the first time I've seen filming go past 3 a.m. with speakers blasting like this," the user wrote. "Filming is not a privilege. Please know your limits."
