Wall Street edges up as Treasury yields fluctuate

US stocks closed slightly higher Thursday (local time), swinging between gains and losses throughout the session as Treasury yields fluctuated.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 20.51 points, or 0.04 percent, at 50,926.56.

The S&P 500 rose 14.91 points, or 0.19 percent, to 7,666.45, while the NASDAQ Composite gained 10.53 points, or 0.04 percent, to 26,871.60.
