Four companies — the Dobong Sock Manufacturing Association, Hiploom, Pexsa Vestis and Youmust R&D — take part in the 24th edition; Dobong-gu covers full booth fees and links firms with buyers
Four companies based in Seoul's Dobong-gu attended the corporate exhibition of the 24th World Korean Business Convention, held Monday through Wednesday at Songdo Convensia in Incheon, to meet domestic and overseas buyers and open new sales channels.
The four Dobong-gu participants were the Dobong Sock Manufacturing Association (socks), Hiploom (shampoo), Pexsa Vestis (clothing) and Youmust R&D (cosmetics). The convention brings together domestic and overseas buyers and Korean diaspora business leaders to foster corporate exchanges and explore new business opportunities.
The companies displayed and promoted their products and discussed product features and potential trade terms with buyers from home and abroad.
Dobong-gu covered the full booth fee and part of the promotional materials cost, and helped arrange consultations between the firms and buyers, giving the companies direct access to a wide range of buyers and helping them develop diverse sales channels.
At the exhibition, the Dobong Sock Manufacturing Association showcased products under "Fitto," a sock brand it created in collaboration with Dobong-gu, highlighting the district's industrial competitiveness as a hub of sock manufacturing.
In addition, Hiploom — a tenant of the Dobong-gu Youth Startup Center — presented scalp-care products including shampoo, while Pexsa Vestis showed clothing and Youmust R&D introduced cosmetics, collectively demonstrating the potential of Dobong-gu businesses.
The participating companies drew positive responses and attention from domestic and overseas buyers through consultations held during the convention. The district expects the discussions to lead to concrete trade deals and export negotiations going forward.
"I hope this convention serves as an opportunity for local companies to find new business partners and advance into overseas markets," Dobong-gu District Mayor Kim Dong-wook said. "We will continue to actively support the expansion of domestic and international sales channels for our businesses."
