BMW Korea will sell 40 limited-edition units online, based on the i5 electric sedan and the iX electric Sports Activity Vehicle. The editions add exclusive exterior colors and M Sport specifications to the existing models.
BMW Korea announced Friday that it will begin selling two October online limited editions on BMW Shop Online at 3 p.m. Thursday. The lineup comprises 10 units of the i5-based model and 30 units of the iX-based model, for a total of 40 vehicles.
The BMW i5 xDrive40 M Sport Phytonic Blue Edition features a Phytonic Blue Metallic exterior. It also comes with 20-inch black-and-gray wheels, M Sport brakes with dark blue calipers, and Iconic Glow illuminated kidney grille surrounds.
The interior is finished in Merino leather combining black and Atlas Gray. Crystal-finish controls appear on key operating surfaces, and a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system is included as standard.
Electric motors on both axles produce a combined maximum output of 394 horsepower and peak torque of 60.1 kg·m. The car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and offers a certified domestic range of 412 km on a single charge.
The model also features Integral Active Steering, which turns the rear wheels to reduce the turning radius at low speeds and aids stable lane changes at higher speeds. Priced at 107 million won ($78,900), only 10 units will be available.
The BMW iX xDrive45 M Sport Pro Space Silver Edition, launching alongside the i5 model, pairs a Space Silver Metallic exterior with the M Sport Pro package. It is visually distinguished from the standard model by 21-inch wheels, red brake calipers, and darkened front and rear lighting.
Inside, the iX edition features M multifunction front seats with a massage function, a crystal-finish gear selector and vehicle controls, a panoramic glass roof, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system, all as standard.
Like the i5 edition, the limited iX is an all-wheel-drive model with electric motors on both axles. Combined output stands at 408 horsepower with peak torque of 71.4 kg·m. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and has a certified domestic range of 446 km per charge. Priced at 129.6 million won, 30 units will be sold.
Both models come with a range of driver assistance and convenience features. The iX in particular is equipped with Driving Assistant Professional for active driving support and Parking Assistant Plus for parking assistance.
