KGM offers special discounts for military personnel, veterans on Armed Forces Day

KG Mobility (KGM) announced Friday that it has prepared a range of promotional offers throughout October to ease the financial burden on customers, in observance of the 78th Armed Forces Day.

KGM will run an "Armed Forces Day Special Promotion" this month targeting active-duty military personnel, civilian military employees, veterans and their immediate family members. Eligible customers who purchase a KGM vehicle — including the New Torres, Actyon 2027, Rexton, Tivoli or Musso — will receive an additional 300,000 won ($221) discount.

Customers purchasing the New Torres, Torres EVX or Actyon 2027 as taxi models will receive a broader set of benefits: a 1 million won discount, 400,000 KGM points for referring a fellow taxi driver, 100,000 KGM points per day (up to seven days) if repairs are delayed, and a Slim Care service package valued at 200,000 won.

KGM has also put together tailored financing options by model — including smart installment and deferred installment programs — to give customers flexibility based on their financial situation and purchase plans in a high-interest-rate environment.

The smart installment program covers all KGM models and applies interest rates ranging from zero to a maximum of 5.5 percent, depending on the down payment and repayment period. Customers can choose from four options: a 50 percent down payment with a 12-month interest-free installment plan; no down payment at 4.8 percent over 48 months; no down payment at 5.2 percent over 60 months; or no down payment at 5.5 percent over 72 months.

The deferred installment program applies to the New Torres Hybrid, Actyon Hybrid 2027 and Tivoli, and customers who select this option receive a Slim Care service package valued at 200,000 won.

Under the deferred installment program, the New Torres HEV and Actyon HEV are available for monthly payments in the 190,000 won and 230,000 won range, respectively, with a 30 percent down payment, a 5.6 percent interest rate over 60 months and a 53 percent deferred ratio. The Tivoli is available for around 130,000 won per month under a 30 percent down payment, 5.6 percent rate over 60 months and a 50 percent deferred ratio, lowering the monthly installment burden.

KGM is also running a loyalty program that offers up to 200,000 won in support based on the number of repeat purchases by model, providing additional benefits to existing customers.

Meanwhile, KGM sold a total of 8,863 vehicles in September, comprising 2,100 units in the domestic market and 6,763 units in exports.

Despite growth in export volume, domestic sales fell due to factors including the depletion of electric vehicle subsidies, pushing overall sales down 2.0 percent from the same month a year earlier. Month-on-month, however, sales rose 29.5 percent, signaling a recovery.
