The Nature Holdings, the operator of National Geographic Apparel, said Friday it is strengthening accountability in management and pushing to improve fourth-quarter earnings through share purchases by key executives.
According to a regulatory filing that day, four executives and related parties — including CEO Park Young-jun — bought a combined 49,480 shares in the company for approximately 320 million won ($235,000) through a block deal.
Park acquired 13,894 shares in the transaction, bringing his total share purchases since the company's listing in July 2020 to 11 occasions.
Incoming co-CEO Hyeon Jong-hyeok, Executive Vice President Park Beom-jun and incoming Chief Financial Officer Kim Jin-young also participated in the purchase. The company said the move demonstrates the new management team's commitment to accountability and enhancing shareholder value.
Earlier, The Nature Holdings had outlined specific measures to generate stable profits and increase shareholder value through its "2026 Corporate Value Enhancement Plan," announced in March.
The company is strengthening the product competitiveness and seasonal marketing of National Geographic Apparel while expanding product lines and distribution networks to suit each brand's characteristics.
The company also plans to support fourth-quarter earnings improvement through its fall-winter 2026 campaign featuring actors Go Youn-jung and Heo Nam-jun, who were selected as brand models.
Brompton London is expanding the company's business beyond apparel into bicycles through an exclusive domestic distribution agreement with British premium folding bicycle brand Brompton. The brand began selling bicycles at 13 stores nationwide in September.
Growing brands including Mark Gonzales and Deus Ex Machina are also reinforcing their product and marketing competitiveness to broaden their customer bases and support portfolio diversification.
Subsidiary Barrel is working to strengthen its core water sports categories, including swimwear, and expand its overseas business. In China, the company is expanding its distribution network through a general distribution agreement with Tianma Sports.
"The share purchases by key executives reflect our commitment to taking responsibility for the company's growth and enhancing corporate value," a The Nature Holdings official said. "We will closely review fall-winter season sales and brand-specific business strategies, and work to build trust with shareholders and the market through tangible management results."
