Broadcaster Noh Hong-chul reveals recent breakup with doctor girlfriend

Broadcaster Noh Hong-chul has revealed that he recently split from a girlfriend who worked as a doctor, adding that he has only good things to say about his former partners.

Noh made the disclosure Friday on his YouTube channel in a video titled "Do you have someone you're seeing … ? Noh Hong-chul answers honestly," responding to questions sent in by fans while he was traveling in Spain.

One fan asked whether he was currently seeing anyone.

Noh said he was not, but acknowledged that he had recently gone through a breakup. "There's no one I'm seeing," he said, "but I did part ways with someone not too long ago."

He described his former girlfriend as a doctor and reflected on how their lifestyles differed. "I tend to wander around and live pretty freely," he said, "whereas doctors often work on a fixed routine in a set space — that's just the nature of the job."

He went on to say that people in such professions had sometimes grown closer to him through conversation. "There are quite a few cases where someone like that opens up to me or we develop a connection through talking," he said, adding that she had been "a wonderful person" who traveled and went riding with him often.

Now single, Noh described his approach to relationships as something that ebbs and flows. "I'm not always alone, and I'm not always in a relationship," he said. "The wind blows this way sometimes and that way other times — I just keep living well either way."

He added that he had no complaints about any of his past partners. "I don't think there has been a single person I've dated who wasn't a genuinely good person," he said, expressing gratitude toward his former loves.
