The Seoul Metropolitan Government has teamed up with global derma-cosmetics brand Mediheal to launch a seven-product skincare collection called the Mediheal Seoul Edition, themed around the Han River, Namsan and Bukchon.

The lineup comprises three pads, three serums and one eye patch. Each of Seoul's three landmark themes is paired with a distinct active ingredient: the Han River with madecassoside, which targets skin soothing and blemish care; Namsan with PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide), which focuses on pore care; and Bukchon with collagen for elasticity improvement and tea tree for skin soothing.

The three pads are the Madecassoside Blemish Pad, the PDRN Pore Elasticity Pad and the Collagen Elasticity Filling Pad. The three serums are the Derma Serum Madecassoside, the Derma Serum PDRN and the Derma Serum Tea Tree. The eye patch is the Collagen Capsule Patch Retinol.

Special edition gift items featuring imagery of the Han River, Namsan and Bukchon — including pouches and luggage tags — will also be offered. Customers who purchase the derma pad special set will receive one of three pouch designs at random, while those who buy the derma serum or eye patch special set will receive one of three luggage tag designs at random.

A Seoul Edition pop-up is running at CJ Olive Young N Seongsu through Oct. 31, where the full product and gift lineup will be on display alongside interactive events including a photo zone, four-cut photo booth and SNS verification activities.

The products are available at a discount at CJ Olive Young stores nationwide, Seoul My Soul Shop, the DDP Design Store and the DDP online mall.

The collaboration also has a social contribution component. Mediheal made a donation to the Seoul Community Chest of Korea ahead of the Seoul Edition launch. The funds will go toward creating a "Forest of Peace" at Namsan Park, which will host next year's Seoul International Garden Expo.

"This collaboration is an attempt to share the true taste and beauty of Seoul by combining the city's most quintessentially Seoul landscapes — the Han River, Namsan and Bukchon — with K-beauty that the world loves," said Kim Hyeong-rae, the Seoul Metropolitan Government's public relations planning officer.
