Actors Lee Yu-jin, 34, and Cha Kyung-eun (real name Kim Kyung-eun), 28, will marry Nov. 14.
According to representatives for both sides, the two first met on the set of "Gil-i Boiimyeon Casting-hae!" — a short-form drama series that marked Lee's directorial debut — Yonhap reported.
Lee said he fell for Cha at first sight during pre-production and actively pursued her after filming wrapped.
The couple began dating seriously in June with marriage in mind and are set to wed in November, just five months into their relationship.
Lee first gained public recognition through Mnet's entertainment program "Produce 101 Season 2." Though he ranked in the middle of the pack, he won a strong following for his expressive reactions and fashion sense.
He made his debut in the 2013 MBC drama series "Goddess of Fire" and has since appeared in the JTBC drama series "Be Melodramatic," the SBS drama series "Do You Like Brahms?" and the tvN drama series "No Gain No Love," among others.
He also appeared as the child version of actor So Ji-sub's character in the film "Be with You." Beyond acting, he has built his profile through theater productions, music videos, radio appearances and various entertainment programs.
Lee is the son of veteran actor Lee Hyo-jeong and the nephew of Lee Ki-young.
Cha made her debut in the 2021 short film "Bokseungah" and has since appeared in the U+ Mobile TV drama series "Future's Future" and as a crew member on Coupang Play's "SNL Korea Reboot" season 7, among other drama series and music video credits. She also runs a personal YouTube channel focused on vlogs.
