Company to operate on-site parcel service 'Bonaone' at Korea's largest traditional market expo
Visitors can ship purchases home via QR code registration
Merchants' leftover goods to be returned to their stores after the event
Firm vows to keep expanding its co-prosperity delivery model with traditional markets
CJ Logistics announced Wednesday it will serve as the official logistics partner for the 2026 National Excellent Market Fair, running Friday through Sunday at Art Center Goma and the Baekje Cultural Land complex in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province. The company will operate an on-site parcel service using its personal delivery platform "Bonaone."
Now in its 22nd edition, the National Excellent Market Fair is the country's largest traditional market event, co-hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, South Chungcheong Province, Gongju, the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, and the Korea Merchants Federation.
More than 130 booths — representing traditional markets and shopping streets from across the country as well as related institutions and companies — will showcase regional specialty products and food. CJ Logistics is participating as the official logistics partner for the second consecutive year, following last year's fair held in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.
During the fair, CJ Logistics will set up a parcel reception booth in the second-floor lobby of Art Center Goma, allowing visitors to ship on-site purchases to any address they choose. Shoppers who buy specialty products from multiple regions can register their parcels through Bonaone on the spot rather than carrying them around, with deliveries dispatched to homes nationwide through the company's parcel network.
Registration will be handled digitally via QR code. Visitors scan a code displayed at the booth with their smartphones, enter delivery details, and complete the process immediately. "By moving away from the old handwritten address system and significantly streamlining the registration process, we expect to cut waiting times and ease congestion during peak hours," a CJ Logistics official said.
In addition, CJ Logistics will offer a return logistics service, picking up any unsold goods merchants have left at the venue after the event closes and delivering them back to each seller's store.
The company will also run a joint promotion with Toss at the fair. Visitors who pay for their parcel using Toss's face-recognition payment feature "Face Pay" will receive a free coupon, allowing them to use Bonaone at no charge — excluding deliveries to Jeju and remote island areas.
CJ Logistics has been steadily expanding a co-prosperity delivery model tied to traditional markets. After signing an MOU with the Korea Merchants Federation last year to build a collaborative logistics model for traditional markets, the company introduced delivery reception center-based partnership models at Daejeon's Taepyeong Market in June and at Osan's Osaek Market in August. The company plans to continue broadening cooperation to improve delivery convenience for traditional market shoppers and reduce the logistics burden on merchants, using Bonaone and its nationwide parcel network.
"This fair brings together outstanding products from across the country in one place, so we plan to support the full logistics chain — helping consumers conveniently send their purchases home and enabling merchants to easily return unsold goods to their stores after the event," said Yoon Jae-seung, head of CJ Logistics' O-NE division. "We will keep expanding convenient delivery services that both traditional market merchants and consumers can feel the difference of, backed by Bonaone and our nationwide logistics network."
Meanwhile, CJ Logistics has been pursuing a range of marketing initiatives to improve customer convenience, including a service that lets merchants registered with Toss's offline payment terminal "Toss Front" easily receive and send parcels through their existing point-of-sale network.
