Lee Seo-jin 'surrenders' to Seo Jang-hoon's wealth as W10m dinner gets casual 'yes'

Actor Lee Seo-jin made no secret of his envy toward Seo Jang-hoon's wealth in a newly released preview clip.

SBS posted a video Wednesday on its official entertainment YouTube channel titled "Lee Seo-jin × Kim Gwang-gyu, a fiery Type-T showdown with master straight-talker Seo Jang-hoon." The clip is a preview for "Mueosideon Haejul Jini — Biseo-jin," a variety show in which Lee Seo-jin acts as a personal assistant, set to air Friday on SBS.

In the video, Lee was asked what he envied about Seo and answered without hesitation: "Wealth." When asked who he thought had more money, Lee acknowledged, "Jang-hoon probably has more."

When the production team suggested the two had never really gone head-to-head over it, Lee said, "There's no need to fight. I surrender," openly conceding to Seo's financial standing. Fellow cast member Kim Gwang-gyu chimed in, calling Seo "the richest person I've ever met."

A glimpse of Seo's spending habits also emerged. Lee asked whether Seo would be comfortable spending 10 million won ($7,440) or more on a single team dinner, and Seo replied with a matter-of-fact "Sure" — leaving even Kim visibly stunned. The clip then took a turn when Lee asked Seo, "So why did you put your building up for sale?" — a question that caught Seo off guard and left viewers eager to see how the conversation unfolds.

The two, widely regarded as the entertainment industry's most archetypal "Type T" personalities, also traded barbs over their emotional styles. When Seo declared, "I'm a warm Type T," Kim pointed at Lee and countered, "This one here is a prickly Type T."

Watching Seo's sharper comedic timing, Lee shot back, "He wasn't like this before. He's become a variety show entertainer now," keeping the playful banter going between the two.
