Yang Jung-ah draws clear line with Kim Seung-su: 'Just friends, no remarriage'

Actor Yang Jung-ah has made her position unmistakably clear: her 20-year friend Kim Seung-su is nothing more than a friend, and she has no intention of remarrying.

On Wednesday's episode of KBS 1TV's "Hwang Shin-hye's Let's Live Together," hosts Hwang Shin-hye, Shin Gye-suk and Yang sat down with residents in their 50s and 60s in Naengjeong-ri village in Taean, South Chungcheong Province, for a candid conversation about romance and marriage. When one resident asked whether she had any thoughts of remarrying, Shin said she would if the opportunity arose, but added, "I'm worried he'd nag me for food and affection."

Attention quickly turned to Yang. Residents said they adored Kim Seung-su and recalled how well-matched the two had seemed on the SBS show My Little Old Boy. Yang and Kim had sparked widespread interest on the program after spending eight months exchanging what viewers read as romantic tension, only for Yang to ultimately decline his confession and remain friends.

Unmoved by the residents' enthusiasm, Yang was firm. "Kim Seung-su and I are just friends," she said. She went on to make her feelings about remarriage equally plain: "I've been through it once. I just don't feel ready to meet someone and get married again."
