Minor windshield damage now eligible for restoration service
Fast lane, car wash added for accident repair customers
Deductible support of up to 500,000 won available through Oct. 31
BMW Group Korea announced Thursday the launch of the BMW Accident Care Program, an expanded and enhanced version of its existing accident repair services designed to improve customer convenience throughout the repair process and deliver premium care for vehicles involved in accidents.
The program supports customers in receiving accident repair services with greater peace of mind and ease following a collision. Trained specialists at BMW authorized service centers use official BMW repair guidelines and genuine parts to restore a vehicle's safety and performance to pre-accident condition.
On top of the previously available excess repair cost support service and windshield replacement support service, the new program adds three services: a windshield restoration service, an accident vehicle fast lane and a car wash service.
The windshield restoration service covers minor damage — such as stone chips sustained while driving — by inspecting and repairing the affected area. Repairability is assessed based on the location, size and extent of the damage, and minor damage that can be restored is now handled at BMW authorized service centers, improving convenience for customers. In cases where damage is too severe for restoration, windshield replacement may be recommended.
The accident vehicle fast lane prioritizes repair jobs requiring bumper or lamp replacement, reducing wait times and enabling faster vehicle delivery. The service is confirmed following a preliminary inspection, and eligibility and estimated timelines may vary depending on the vehicle's condition, the extent of additional damage, parts availability and service center capacity.
The car wash service is offered to customers whose vehicles have completed accident repairs. Specialists at BMW authorized service centers remove exterior dirt and grime after repairs are finished, so customers can take delivery of their vehicle in a cleaner, more presentable condition.
Meanwhile, to mark the launch of the BMW Accident Care Program, BMW Group Korea is offering a special benefit through Oct. 31: customers who use their own vehicle insurance for repairs totaling 2 million won ($1,490) or more before discounts — including parts, labor and VAT — will receive deductible support of up to 500,000 won. Windshield replacement jobs are also eligible.
BMW Group Korea said it will continue to strengthen its accident vehicle customer care program so that customers who need accident repairs can experience reliable, high-quality service and systematic vehicle management at BMW authorized service centers.
Meanwhile, BMW Group Korea provided training vehicles to the "Fire Department Electric Vehicle Safety Rescue Seminar," jointly organized by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority's Automobile Safety Research Institute and the Busan Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, to support rescue training for firefighters responding to electric vehicle accidents. This marks the second consecutive year the company has supplied training vehicles, contributing the new BMW iX3 and the all-electric MINI Countryman as its representative electric vehicles.
